Have you ever felt frustrated with your online gambling experience? Never wished for the customer service representative to be in front of you and yell at him to the point that you would even tell him
Frustrating experiences with online gambling??
what will his cause of death be? Have you ever felt so impotent of doing something and on top of that, the operation you thought would help, seems to be run by a bunch of wild animals??
The above statements might seem too rude or maybe too realistic, it depends on the type of gambler you are. One fact is, we gamblers are difficult customers. Which is a good thing. Regardless of what our attitude is, we are backed by one business stereotype which defends us: The Customer is Always Right!!
You can see it from both sides of the equation. On the gamblers’ side, we want to make sure the company they are making business with honors what they offer, pay us what we deserve in a short period of time and provide a decent service. From the gambling site’s side, it’s quite simple; all they want is more customers and more deposits coming in. However, those 2 objectives can only be achieved by thousands of little small factors, which in many cases, are not even considered by managers or owners.
Let’s start with the gamblers.
You don’t need to be an Earth’s Physics expert to figure out what they are looking for. I believe that it can be summarized in a few factors… A gambler can be easily persuaded by polite service, easy using software and fast payments. I consider these elements are basic for gambling sites to start attracting potential customers. When a gambler makes its first contact with a sportbook, casino or poker room I am sure that he wants fast answers to his questions, easy browsing sites and as much information possible available there for him to make sure we won’t get screwed. What usually happens? Most sites already know this and will make sure for this to be present. The problem comes in applying all the necessary tools to honor what they promising their customers.
It’s believed that over 2000 gambling sites can be found on the Internet. Is not a fact, but some believed that less than 200 of them are worth making business with. Let’s put it this way, an industry which supposedly generates $12 billion a year, in its most is operated by people who shouldn’t be allowed to sell hot dogs on a Manhattan corner.
It might sound sad, but you can check it for yourself. Thousands of complains are filed in every day to “online gambling monitoring entities” which I quote, since several of them are operated in a less professional way than the companies they are committed to regulate. Thousands of comments and frustrating stories can be read in gambling forums stating how customers have been scammed, mistreated and even threatened by online gambling operators.
Facts, like the ones mentioned above, have given reputation to the great online gambling industry to be linked with businesses such as money laundry, terrorism and labeled as America’s Second Worst Enemy; all these, in order to protect the interests of a small group of people. But that is not the issue here.
So, back to business… Such a successful business, like providing entertainment through gambling, should be taken more seriously by both players and operators. Players should realize that they are sending their money to a foreign country company which is going to handle your money in order to satisfy your gaming experience. They must learn and investigate which company they will choose in order to have the most hassle-free experience.
Operators should realize that the competition out there is enormous, and in constant growth. Day by day gambling sites face a huge challenge, which is prevailing in a dark world, where guide lines are not set and basically the rules of nature apply: only the wise and strong survive. Some might say ripping off their customers and treating them like parasites is the way to succeed. People who have been in the business for a while know that professional and polite service, along with fast payouts and a attitude of investing efforts and funds on company improvement, are the keys which industry giants have used to be where they are today.
For you the online gambler, make sure not to follow the nicest site or the bigger bonus in order to make business with them. Take some time and learn who is worth making business with and who should be not even noticed or worth mentioning.
