When playing blackjack
there are sure to be many thoughts running through your mind. What
should you do next? Do you have a chance of winning? What is the dealer
thinking?
While some of these questions are important, others are more or less a waste of time. The real question is: is a
blackjack strategy
that important? Some players answer with an emphatic yes. Others, especially beginners, do not think that they need a strategy.
First off, you should realize that a strategy can guide you. When you get started as a
blackjack player
you are probably interested in nothing more than learning the game and hopefully winning from time to time. But as you learn more and more and get serious about the game, you will begin to realize just how much a blackjack strategy has to offer. In other words, a strategy is important if you want to grow your skills and career.
Does it take long to learn a blackjack strategy? Fortunately, the answer to this question is no in most cases. Since the rules are pretty much cut and dry, you can
implement a strategy
soon enough. That being said, you should remember that your strategy can change over time. You do not want to get stuck in a rut because you are afraid to tweak your strategy. Instead, do whatever you can to better your chances; even if this means a complete and total change.
So is a blackjack strategy that important? For most players the answer should be yes. Unless you are
playing the game
only for fun, and don’t care about winning, you should be concerned with the strategy that you are using.
